This is one of the most asked questions among business owners and entrepreneurs who are new to digital marketing. You have a social media account, apparently a business page on Facebook (where you run your ads), maybe an Instagram or even LinkedIn account where you have tons of followers, but… they simply don’t convert.
Don’t panic, there is a way out!
Today we will talk about how to convert your social media followers into customers through content marketing. Here are 3 advice from James Cook Media.
One of the main goals of content marketing is not only to create valuable content for your followers to spread awareness of the brand and to bring new followers but also to engage current followers.
Start by creating a content plan for your social media accounts, use both entertaining and educational content. Also, don’t be afraid to provide materials for free. Things such as free webinars, checklists, guides, and any downloadable content can and should be used if you want to build trust around your brand.
Try to connect your business with your customer’s lives and educate them towards a business purchase.
It’s never enough to create great content and engage your audience if you keep your own silence. Be active in your community, reach out to your followers individually, react, and reply to their comments below your posts.
Sharing followers’ content with your brand being tagged will also help to build trust around your company and will encourage your followers to engage.
CTA (call to action) is an instruction to the audience designed to provoke an immediate response, usually using an imperative verb such as "call now", "find out more" or "visit a store today". [CALL TO ACTION: Secret Formulas to Improve Online Results, B., J. Eisenberg,]
If you still haven’t used CTA at the end of your posts, then it might be time to think about what actions do you want your followers to take when they are engaging with your account.
Share a link to your landing page/ funnel, or you can share a direct link to product promotion. You can also share discount codes or promo codes, lure your followers to take quizzes or encourage them to slide into your DM’s and contact you.
This all together is the effort that you need to take in order to create an active community, build trust around your brand, connect with your followers, and convert them into ideal customers.
And one of the first things that you need to experience is... to see how it all works in action.
